Formula 3 Intern/Freelancer

Pole Ltd is currently looking for a Formula 3 copywriter who is available on race weekends, to provide a post-race press release for a team in the series.

This role would be ideal for any freelance writer or student who has a deep knowledge of the championship and would be a remote role.

There may also be scope for training and future work, depending on availability.

The perfect candidate would be:

  • Highly motivated, committed and reliable on race weekends
  • Able to work in a fast-paced motorsport industry
  • Available at abnormal hours with certain events taking place through the night or early mornings
  • An impeccable copywriter
  • Knowledgeable about Formula 3 and other junior categories
  • Able to work as part of a small team, giving feedback on your work
  • Able to watch Formula 3 from home

While Pole is not currently actively hiring for full time staff, we are always on the lookout for talent and welcome speculative applications.

The skills required to work at Pole are:

  • Degree level education and/or two years working in a relevant field
  • Impeccable copywriting in various styles, from press releases to social media.
  • Experience working with different social media platforms, mainly Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, and running campaigns.
  • Understanding of key motorsport media.
  • Experience of Adobe Creative Suite software (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro and After Effects are preferred).
  • Deep knowledge and expertise of all forms of global motorsport – not just Formula 1.
  • Comfortable working with a broad range of clients in a competitive environment.
  • Highly motivated, committed, reliable and with an eye for detail.
  • Eager to learn and work within the fast-paced motorsport industry.
  • Able to work as part of a small team, helping others with workloads and pitching new ideas.

 

Pole will supply a daily personalised training programme for copywriting, social media, Mailchimp, website software (WordPress, WIX and Storyblok), Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, InDesign etc), client briefs and relations.

This is a Wimbledon (SW19) office-based position requiring weekend work and occasional long hours. The role does not include attending races and events, although there may be opportunities in the future.
