A busy April kicked off in Sepang as eight Porsche entries took on the GT World Challenge Asia season opener, with the marque securing an excellent double victory across the weekend.
2025 Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup champion Alessandro Ghiretti and Huang Ruohan wrapped up the first race for Absolute Racing, with Alessio Picariello and Lu Wei heading up a Porsche 1-2-3 during Sunday’s event in the #4 Origine Motorsport car.
Porsche Driver Dorian Boccolacci and Anthony Liu followed them home in second, with the victors from Saturday, Ghiretti and Ruohan behind. There were also wins for Porsche Centre Okazaki and Origine Motorsport in the Silver-Am and Am classes respectively.
The following weekend was full of action-packed events at the Nürburgring, Zhuhai and Okayama for the Pole team to contend with.
KCMG took a stunning maiden pole position at the Nordschleife for NLS3, as David Pittard, Jesse Krohn, Edoardo Liberati and Kamui Kobayashi secured fourth overall during the four-hour enduro.
In China, Porsche Carrera Cup Asia continued its 2026 campaign by racing at Zhuhai International Circuit for the first time since 2021. Porsche Junior Marcus Amand claimed his first victory of the year in the opener, while guest driver Alexander Tauscher wrapped up Round 4, with Rodrigo Dias Almeida earning maximum points in the championship.
The weekend concluded with seven x seven Racing kicking off the 2026 Super GT season by scoring points, as Sven Müller and Kiyoto Fujinami finished 12th in the GT300 category at Okayama.
The following weekend saw 20 Porsche entries taking on the China GT opener in Shanghai, including Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific Selected Driver Enzo Trulli, who came second and fourth alongside Chris Chia for Phantom Global Racing.
Porsche also wrapped up overall victory on Saturday with Yuan Bo and Deng Yi delivering a stunning performance, winning by a 41-second margin for Winhere Origine Motorsport.
Back in Europe, KCMG took on the 24h Nürburgring Qualifiers, acting as the squad’s last racing action before the iconic 24-hour enduro. The crew of David Pittard, Jesse Krohn, Nirei Fukuzumi and Naoya Gamou were able to gain more valuable experience on the Nordschleife, with the same quartet competing at the Nürburgring 24 Hours in May.
May sees Formula E return for double-headers in Berlin and Monaco, with plenty of action in Asia as GT World Challenge Asia, Porsche Carrera Cup Asia and China GT continue their respective campaigns. The month will also see SRO Japan Cup and Thailand Super Series kick off their 2026 seasons, while the Nürburgring 24 Hours takes place on 14-17 May.
