After a busy September, October continued in the same fashion with racing action in Asia on every weekend in the month, as well as Pre-Season Testing for the upcoming Formula E campaign in Valencia, Spain.
The month kicked off with Porsche Carrera Cup Asia hosting the final event of its 22nd season at Marina Bay Street Circuit, alongside the Singapore Grand Prix. This marked the first time in the championship’s history that it started and concluded on the support bill of Grands Prix, after racing in Shanghai back in March.
Recently crowned 2025 champion Dylan Pereria clinched a double victory across the two races to end the year with an outstanding 11 wins from 14 events, while Bayley Hall claimed a pair of podiums on his series debut.
After Bao Jinlong won the Pro-Am crown in Mandalika, this left just the Am and Masters categories up for grabs on the streets of Singapore. Brothers Eric and Henry Kwong enjoyed an epic battle, taking a race win a piece, with the latter coming out on top to secure his second Am championship, as Adrian D’Silva would wrap up the first-ever Porsche Carrera Cup Asia Masters title.
The following weekend saw a weather affected Super Formula event for Kids com Team KCMG at Fuji Speedway, with no green-flag racing taking place over the two days due to heavy rain and fog. However, with Round 10 now moving to the final event in Suzuka, this sets up an epic triple-header to finish off the 2025 campaign on 21-23 November.
Remaining in Asia, Pole covered the GT World Challenge Asia Powered by AWS season finale at the brand-new Beijing Street Circuit, with multiple Porsche entries in title contention.
The teams and drivers battled through the tough cold conditions in the city’s E-Town to deliver more success for the marque, after Origine Motorsport won the teams’ crown last time out in Okayama.
Following two thrilling and dramatic races, Origine Motorsport’s #4 and #87 entries were left in the unusual and unique position of being tied on 125 points. The #87 crew of Yuan Bo and Leo Ye would win the championship on countback, while Lu Wei in the #4 Porsche 911 GT3 R claimed the Pro-Am honours.
At the same time in Japan, seven x seven Racing marked its impressive debut Super GT campaign with a superb maiden victory at Autopolis. The trio of Kiyoto Fujinami, Tsubasa Kondo and Harry King produced an outstanding drive to come from fifth to claim Porsche’s first win in the championship since 2012.
The final weekend of October saw the conclusion of both Porsche Sprint Challenge Indonesia and Porsche Sports Cup China 2025 campaigns, while seven x seven Racing claimed yet another victory, this time in Super Taikyu at Okayama International Circuit, to remain in title contention heading into the final round next month.
A busy month finished with Formula E Pre-Season Testing and the second-ever all-women’s test at Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, Spain. World Champion Oliver Rowland and teammate Norman Nato both topped the timesheets for Nissan Formula E Team on the fourth and final day, as they get ready for the last season of GEN3 Evo, which kicks off in São Paulo, Brazil, on 6 December.
The week came to an end with the squad’s reserve and simulator driver Abbi Pulling enjoying her third outing in the Nissan e-4ORCE 05, finishing both sessions of the all-women’s test in second, as the British driver continues her work with the outfit.
November looks to be a slightly quieter month for the Pole team but does feature one of the most iconic and prestigious events in the world of motorsport, with the Macau Grand Prix around the tricky Guia Circuit in the middle of the month.
